9:30 am, December 4: "The Gift of Love"

11:00 am, December 4:  "The Gift of Love"

Rev. Dr. Anthony Tomasino

Here’s a preview from Pastor Tony of his sermon for Sunday:

An old song says that “Love is a many-splendored thing.” And indeed it is! But “splendor” isn’t just a quality of romance. The splendor of love comes in a variety of forms, just as love itself can take many forms. Love can refer to our appetite for chocolate ice cream, or it can be a quality of a friendship, or it can mean a mother’s affection for her children, or it can be a quality of our relationship with God. Each feeling is unique, but we use but a single word for them all.

On the second Sunday of Advent, we light the candle of Love. We might do it almost nonchalantly. The word “love” gets thrown around a lot in the church, and especially so in Advent season. But what kind of love do we celebrate this day? Is the gift of love God’s gift to us, or is it our gift to God? Can it be both?

Join us this Sunday at 9:30 or 11 AM, or tune in online,

to celebrate the gift of God’s love—in all its splendor!
