175+ Years - forward in christ, in ministry, in community

2017 marked the church’s 175th anniversary in ministry as a congregation in Hillsdale, and 178 years of shared Christian ministry among all Hillsdale area churches. Special activities and missions were held throughout the year, including a celebration on World Communion Sunday with local churches and Bishop David Bard of the Michigan Area United Methodist Church. Find out more about this event here.

We continue forward in Christ, in ministry, and in the community.

a hOLY MEMORY

A Holy Memory. That’s what our Festival Service of Praise and Thanksgiving on Sunday afternoon, October 1, 2017 was. It was a holy memory that gathered pastors and people from several area churches in worship. It was a holy memory where the scriptures, the anthems, the hymns, the message, and the Sacrament combined in such a way that they became, in the words of Craig Douglas Erickson, “a seed planted in the soul that grows in secret and reaches fruition as a miracle of God’s grace.”

The holy memory of those moments will sustain us in years to come … a touchstone to remember who we are and where we are going as God’s people and followers of Jesus Christ.

I invite you, as you look at the photos not only to remember, but to give God the honor and the praise for what God has done, is doing, and will do through us!
