LOAVES AND FISHES 2022
Our church participates annually at the Loaves and Fishes community-wide outreach held at the Fairgrounds.
At the August 2022 event, we gave away 932 socks! 776 socks went to local families, and 156 socks were donated to the Share the Warmth winter warming center located in Sozo church.
Thank you to all who donated money or socks toward this ministry, and thank you to all of the other churches who participated in the event to help people in our local community!

October 26, 2019 | Despite the rain, we had a great turnout and a fun time! The face painting, pony rides and petting zoo in addition to the games were a hit!

December 16, 2018 | At the 11:00 am worship service with breakfast, Pastor Rob and the praise band led an interactive skit that traced the journey of Mary and Joseph to the manger where Christ was born. LOVE CAME DOWN AT CHRISTMAS... Merry Christmas from the people of the Hillsdale First United Methodist Church.

October 27, 2018 | A great turnout on a chilly, drizzly day for our annual Fall Fest! The petting zoo and pony rides were a great new addition. The toilet paper toss was a big hit, as were the McPherson puppets.

June 24, 2018 | We worshiped with and thanked Rev. Pat Brook, at her last worship service at Hillsdale First United Methodist Church. Rev. Brook retired after 8 years as pastor of Hillsdale First UMC, and 19 years of ministry in the United Methodist Church.
With heartfelt gratitude, we thank Pastor Pat for her deep faith and love of God, and we pray God’s blessings on her, her family, and her ministry in the years ahead.

June 23, 2018 | A time of fellowship at the Free Community Picnic under a tent on the front lawn of the church included a free sloppy joe lunch provided by the Hillsdale Senior Services Center, along with games and activities for all ages!

October 28, 2017 | Kids of all ages came in costume and enjoyed a mini carnival setting under a tent with free treats, games, crafts/activities, popcorn, cider, and a hot dog lunch.
